1930s Halloween Boudoir Doll Sterling Co. All Original RARE

  

ALL-ORIGINAL BOUDOIR DOLL DRESSED FOR HALLOWEEN. All Original, Made by Sterling Doll Company, 1930's. Marks: on back waistline (hard to read). Composition head and bosom portraying adult lady with highly stylized features and painting, Blue eyes, Blue eyeshadow and heavy black eyeliner, applied lashes and painted lashes, blushed cheeks, ruby lips may be repainted? , beauty mark, blonde mohair wig in original set, muslin body with long torso and limbs, composition arms, red painted nails, wears orange satin gown and pointed cap with black satin (faded to Brown) trim, silk screened Halloween figures on skirt (witch on broom stick, Black cat, Pumpkin) and hat (moon & star), orange gauze dress lining and pantaloons, composition black heeled shoes (right heel missing).

She measures 27" tall, 32" to the tip of her hat. Please look closely at photos as they are part of the description. Cracks & crazing on face & neck.

Paint missing on chin, cheek & nose tip. Composition is lifting on both arms.

Finger tips missing on left hand. Right shoe heel is missing. Tip of hat is threadbare. Some light fading to dress & hat. A few small holes on dress. Some loose stitches on dress hem. Hair is nice & full and composition is stable/not flaking. Overall she is in nice displayable condition for being nearly 100 years old. I love displaying her seated with her dress making a full circle. She has been a treasured Halloween decoration in my home for many years!
