The artisan used some kind of wood and carved it into an exquisite, very light and intricate mask. I believe there is some kind of hair used for the eyebrows.
Hand-painted with orange and black brush lines and measures approximately 5.25" x 5.25" x 3.26. It is in very good condition considering its age. There is a very slight crack (may be just the paint) running from one eye to the nose (I tried to photograph in last picture).
Structurally, however, it's very sound and it is well made. Please see pictures for more details and ask if there are any questions.
These masks are rare and very hard to come by. Great addition to an antique Halloween or mask collection.
