Vintage Paper Mache Halloween Witch On Broomstick 17x15x6 Rare

This large vintage paper mache Halloween witch, (approximate size: 17" tall, 15" across, 6 deep) has been with us since 2003 and has graced our Halloween décor for many years. We discovered her in an antique store window without her broom so we replaced it with a new one. There is no maker's mark so it is hard to tell whether she was handmade or commercially produced. She is finished on both sides so she can be displayed in the center of a room, but our favorite display of her was hanging her front of a window flying across a 35 moon Carole made for her.

The moon is not original, it is something she created with orange felt and Styrofoam. She really is in excellent condition for as old as she is. There are minor scrapes here and there and some overpainting near the cuffs of her cape. Please see the photos for best description of the witch's condition.

She is very beautifully painted and is very three dimensional. She holds her broom with one hand and her derby hat with the other.
